Steinway Concert Grand Piano
In 2006 Hereford Cider Museum funded the purchase of
superb Steinway Model ‘D’ concert grand piano following
a gift from and anonymous donor. It is kept at
Trinity Church, Hereford and is for the general benefit
of the people of Herefordshire It is available for use
by professional recitalists, serious amateurs and
educational establishments. Made in Hamburg in 2003, the
piano was personally selected by Martino Tirimo, the
distinguished virtuoso recitalist, who described it as
‘one of the best instruments I have played’.

It was decided to locate the piano at Holy Trinity because of the building’s fine acoustics, the easy accessibility and central location of the site and because Holy Trinity PCC can provide the administrative systems that will ensure that it can made available as widely as possible. The management of the instrument is in the hands of a committee which includes members of Hereford Cider Museum Trust, Holy Trinity PCC and representatives of local musical organisations.
HIRING THE PIANO
The piano is available for hire for performances in Holy Trinity at very modest rates. It may also be hired for use in other venues, although it should be borne in mind that the cost of removal is considerable.
