Planning Your Visit

LOCATION

The Museum is located west of the city of Hereford off the A438 Brecon Road.  It is situated close to theTravelodge and Sainsbury's supermarket.  To find it, turn left towards Sainsbury's after the first set of traffic lights, once you have left the ring road on the A438 Hay and Brecon road, and then right into the Travelodge entrance.  It is on the cross city cycle route and ten minutes walk from the city centre.  There is free car and coach parking.

For buses take the hourly 71 to Credenhill that leaves from the city centre bus station, or the hourly 461 to Kington from the railway station or country bus station.  Ask to get off at the Sainsbury's stop.

DISABLED ACCESS

The Museum is fully accessible to wheel chair users on the ground floor where the main exhibits, toilets and cafe are situated.  There is an upper floor art gallery and a cellar exhibit which unfortunately are not accessible.

OPENING HOURS

The Museum is open Tuesday to Saturday throughout the year and on Bank Holiday weekends and the Cider making Festival weekend.

• November to March:  11.00 to 3.00 p.m.

• Group Discount:  50p reduction on admission charges for groups of 15+

CAFé POMONA

Ploughman's lunches or finger buffets are available when booked in advance.  Light refreshments at all other times.

MEETING ROOMS TO HIRE

The prestigious Board Room may be hired for meetings at a cost of £100 per day or £50 per half day.  The Pomona Meeting Room at a cost of £50 per day.  Refreshments available.
